When choosing Rottweilers, decisions will have to be made on what traits and qualities are most important to you. Think long-term - all puppies are cute, but as adult dogs they can be very different. Here are some things to consider.
Answering this question can help you decide what types of puppy to look for.
A companion should like to do the same things you do. Don't get a toy breed if you want to go jogging.
A guard dog needs to be loyal, easily trained and able to protect your home.

A show dog will need to come with a pedigree.
If you are a busy person, you may want a puppy with these qualities: fast learning rate, submissive or moderate dominance level, lower energy level, low maintenance grooming. If you want a puppy more likely to get along with children, look for these qualities: good obedience level, submissive or moderate dominance level, and low guard dog tendencies.
Of course, everyone is looking for something different. The best general advice is to think of a puppy's traits in terms of how they will affect your life.
